Hosted at Monterey Live by Bishop Mayfield and The Blues Review which consists of Jamey De on Drums, Tom Lawson on Vocals and Keys, Tamas Marius on Sax and Vocals, Joe Vallaire on Bass and William Vallaire on Guitar.

This is a collection of local blues musicians who have been playing in the area for many years. This talented group will also be joined by special guests throughout the evening.

Redbeans and Rice

Bishop was lead vocalist and frontman for Redbeans and Rice, one of Monterey County, California's favorite bands from 2003 to 2007. Redbeans and Rice have played the Monterey Bay Blues Festival, the Gilroy Garlic Festival, Rocklin Jubileel, Brews on the Bay in Eureka, Ca., Hawkins Amphitheatre Hawkins Amphitheatre, Reno, Capitola Twilight Music Series, and the Central Valley Blues Festival .

This was fun Louisiana style blues band whose members included Gil Rubio on Guitar, Jamey De on Drums, Tom Lawson on Vocals and Keys, Tamas Marius on Sax and Vocals, Joe Vallaire on Bass, and last but not least Bishop Mayfield on Lead Vocals and Percussion. The band transformed and many of it's player still gig together.

Freesound

Bishop's new collaboration with Freesound is rockin hot! They will be playing at the Summer of Love Festival at the Monterey Bay Fairgrounds to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Monterey Pop Festival.

FreeSound is a 4 piece band from Hawaii and the San Francisco North Bay area. Their original music blends styles and sounds that include funky grooves, soul psychedelia, and roots rock n' blues.
Their lively original music is reflective of artists like Ben Harper, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Hendrix, and Pink Floyd. The members will also readily throw down powerful roots reggae Their new album of reggae music "Mango Man" can be heard on their website at www.freesoundspace.com.
